Abstract Submission

Extended abstracts of 2000-3000 words (excluding references) are invited for submission at the conference website by 30 September 2023. The authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by the end of January 2024.

Authors are welcomed to submit more than one abstract. However, a maximum of one presentation is allowed per person attending the conference.

Submission Topics (as in the call)

The conference welcomes submissions on all aspects and facets of travel behaviour research and application. To facilitate paper submission and organisation of the program, we have identified nine thematic categories:

  • active mobility, life-stages, and quality of life
  • adoption, adaptation, and impacts of new technologies
  • time-use and locational choices
  • innovative data collection methods and alternative data sources
  • psychometrics, attitudes, and perceptions
  • pattern recognition in decision-making processes
  • transformative policy and behavioural change
  • advanced modelling and simulation
  • other relevant topics

At the submission, the authors will be asked to select the topics from the list above that suit best to their submission. This is to assist with the review process and the creation of the conference program itself.

Abstract Guidelines

Submissions are to be written in English. To facilitate the review and selection by the scientific committee, extended abstracts should clearly state the research goals, analysis methods, results and contributions of the study.

Submissions should include the following details:

  • Title
  • Authors
  • Contact information
  • Submission topic (as explained above)
  • 3 to 5 keywords
  • Extended abstract (around 2000 to 3000 words)
  • References

While there is no mandatory format, a suggested template for the submissions can be found HERE.

Unofficial template for latex can be found in HERE
